Getting Started >
We will take you through every step necessary to get you going in this fabulous sport but first consider the following:

We'll guide through the right steps to buy your new kiting equipment. Power kiting can be a dangerous sport and seeking professional advice is a must.
Follow these basic guide lines:
Visit you local shop for advice
Visit you local flying ground and ask other kite flyers for their advice. They may even let you try their own equipment. Kite flyers on the whole are pretty generous guys so don't be embarrassed to ask their advice.
Buy the right size kite, nothing too powerful or large to begin with.
Buy the right kite for the right activity, ie. traction kite = buggying or landboarding.
Expensive isn't always the best when starting out, set yourself a budget and stick to it as closely as possible.
Make sure you have an area to fly. A lot of councils have now banned kiting activities. If in doubt, call you local council office.
Always adhere to the SAFETY guidlines.
Once you have bought your equipment, check the manufacturer's enclosed setup and safety leaflet for advice on setting it up and packing away instructions.
Never fly in wind that is too strong for your experience. This is where serious accidents occur.
When you are happy with everything and are feeling confident you can then go and have some serious fun.
Follow these two simple rules:
Always take your time setting up and packing away.
Ask for others advice if in doubt.
